Those wishing to join are asked to follow the instructions given below.
There are five types of membership:
(1)Regular Membership (Individuals)
(2)Associate Membership (Individuals)
(3)Student Membership (Junior College, University and Graduate Students)
(4)Patron Membership (Corporations)
(5)Honorary Membership (Awarded to members who have performed distinguished service for The Association, such as former chairpersons and vice-chairpersons. Members over 70 years of age are also eligible)
If applying for a group membership, please indicate which applicant will act as the group’s representative. All correspondence from the Association will be sent to the representative on behalf of the group.
Please complete the application form which corresponds with the desired type of membership, and circle your preferred method of receiving correspondence from the Association. Applicants who are not involved in academic or research work are asked to provide details of their work experience.
As a rule, please submit your application by post after having it signed by two referees. If an existing member is to act as a referee, then their signature alone will suffice. Should you be unable to find a suitable referee, please include a self-recommendation on a separate sheet of paper.
Applicants who have participated in the Secretarial Work section of the Ability Development All-around Conference should make note of this in the remarks column of the application form. These applicants may then leave the referee column blank.
Memberships are only granted following approval from the executive committee. Once approval has been granted, successful applicants will be notified in writing. Since the executive committee holds official meetings only several times a year, membership applications may take some time to be processed and reviewed.
Yearly membership fees are to be paid once membership has been granted. An invoice for this will accompany the written notification of successful applications. Please make payment as quickly as possible. Also included in the fees is the cost of receiving a copy of the Association’s annual report.
Membership Fees are as follows:
・Regular Membership : 8,000yen
・Associate Membership : 4,000yen
・Student Membership : 5,000yen
・Patron Membership : 20,000yen
